

Stella Chung, MD, MS
Dr. Stella Chung is a Board-eligible Ophthalmologist, having completed an Ophthalmology residency at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and an additional year of training in Michigan focusing on eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery.
Dr. Chung, who grew up in Seoul, Manila, and New Jersey, earned her B.S. in Biochemistry from Tufts University in Massachusetts. She earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and Medical Doctorate (M.D.) degree with distinction in research from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She subsequently completed her Ophthalmology residency at Rutgers University.
Dr. Chung has completed the first of 2 years as a Surgical Fellow in Oculofacial Plastic and Orbital Surgery, and joined Kahana Oculoplastic and Orbital Surgery as an Associate while completing her second year as Surgical Fellow, all under the auspices of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS).
A meticulous surgeon, Dr. Chung has a strong interest in surgical education and clinical research. She was awarded the Howard Hughes Medical Institute research fellowship grant twice. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting modern art exhibits, reading autobiographies, and learning the game of golf.
