Dr. Adam Neuhouser

Dr. Adam Neuhouser, MD, is a board-eligible ophthalmologist advancing his expertise through an oculofacial and orbit surgery fellowship with Dr. Kahana. With a distinguished academic career and credentials, Dr. Neuhouser is one of only 50 surgical fellows in North America currently participating in ASOPRS-approved oculofacial and orbit surgery fellowships.

A Midwestern native, Dr. Neuhouser graduated summa cum laude (with highest distinction), and in the top 2% of his class, from Iowa State University before earning his medical degree with Honors in Research from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed his internship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and ophthalmology residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Neuhouser is also an accomplished athlete, having rowed varsity crew for NCAA Division 1 Iowa State University.

Dr. Neuhouser is an active researcher and educator, with peer-reviewed publications on thyroid eye disease, artificial intelligence in ophthalmology, and several other topics in ophthalmology. His dedication to surgical education earned him the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Best Resident Surgical Video Award (2024). He has presented his work at national meetings, including the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS).

Dr. Neuhouser believes exceptional care begins with listening and analyzing. Outside of medicine, he enjoys golfing, cooking adventurous dishes, and cheering on the Chicago Bears.
